Friday 11th March 2016Gundogs

Saturday 12th March 2016 – Working & Pastoral dogs including breeds originally kept for what the Kennel Club defines as “working cattle, sheep, reindeer and other cloven footed animals”. These include the Anatolian Shepherd Dog and the Australian Cattle Dog.

Sunday 13th March 2016 – Terriers & Hounds, which range from wiry, very active and fearless terrier dogs to hounds, the first hunting dogs who assist hunters tracking or chasing the prey being hunted. Hounds differ from gundogs, who help hunters identify a prey’s location and/or recover shot quarry.

Crufts tickets are on sale.

Discover Dogs

There is also an area called Discover Dogs at Crufts.

Located in Hall 3 it will host more than 200 breeds of dog. Visitors can not only see the different breeds but also discuss them with owners and breeders.

This is a place to gain first-hand advice about grooming, training and whether a particular breed is the one for you.

Scruffts: The Nation’s Favourite Crossbreed Competition

The UK’s foremost crossbreed competition for dogs whose parents are of two different breeds or a mixture of several breeds last year attracted more than 2,000 crossbreeds and their owners.

Just six of these have won a place in the final of the Scruffts Family Crossbreed Dog of the Year final at Crufts.
