1 February, 2015: Not so Cocker hoop!

I groomed a Cocker Spaniel today.

Dog Anal Gland Problems in golden cocker spaniel

Good boy: a Golden Cocker Spaniel

My Golden Cocker is a good boy. He has started to have regular six to eight weekly grooms and his skin and coat condition is great!

But, he has an unfortunate dog anal gland problem. Recently emptied anal glands by the vet means they fill up fast and need to be expressed each time he is groomed.

The owner says the problem has occurred since he started eating wet food. I suggested reverting to oat bran biscuits only, mixed with a cup of cold tap water with a teaspoon sprinkling of oat bran on top.
