Professional Dog Training
Dove Cresswell trains puppies and dogs for film, television and commercials. She has had a life of interest and adventure that has revolved around dog training and training other animals.
Dove started her career as a young veterinary assistant but her love of working with animals found Dove, aged 18, as a stand in on a dog movie.
As Dove learned all the jobs on the various film sets, she made the decision to become an animal trainer for film.
Having worked towards her BSc (Biology) and after spending time in Kenya, Dove returned to her native Canada, moved to Vancouver and pursued her chosen career in film.

Landing a job as an assistant on the Cougar Crossings docudrama – that told a ‘rite of passage’ story of two orphaned cougar cubs and was filmed in the Canadian Rockies – led to Dove working with an animal trainer for film.
Since then, Dove has become expert in training animal behaviours for film, which she has combined with a successful career as a multi-talented dog trainer. Her filmography includes training dogs for Marley & Me: The Puppy Years (2011), Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012), and Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (2010).
