DOGS: Natasha Kaplinsky in trouble for failing to scoop the poop

It’s happened to a lot, if not all, of us at one time or another.

Over the weekend it was the turn of Natasha Kaplinsky, when she found herself on the wrong side of a lecture from a pair of mounted police after her dog left a deposit on the grass during a walk in the park.

The 36-year-old channel Five news presenter, who is paid ?1million a year, was accosted by the officers in Fulham, West London, after nonchalantly strolling away from the offending item.

She could have faced a fine of up to ?1,000 for failing to clean up after her animal.

But the matter was resolved with a smile when the heavily-pregnant Miss Kaplinsky returned to the scene of the crime, removed a black plastic bag from the roll she was carrying, and scooped up the evidence.

Miss Kaplinsky is expecting her first child by banker husband Justin Bower in November.
